Can you afford to shut down for 28 days while you wait for your new concrete to cure? Most businesses answer this question with a resounding, No!
What about seven? Can you afford to shut down for 7 days? While a better option than 28 days, shutting down for 7 days is still not a real viable option for most businesses. Yet, according to the American Concrete Institute (ACI), seven days is the minimum concrete curing time for general use cement – the type used most often in concrete flooring. And 28 days is the standard concrete curing time for maximum strength and durability.
With V8 Rev M.V.P. from Xtreme Engineered Floor Systems, the seven and 28-day concrete curing times are no longer necessary. The fast-dry, two-part moisture vapor protection is made up of 100% solids epoxy and can be applied just 24 hours after your cement floor has been poured.
The concrete curing process is an important aspect of installing concrete flooring. Without proper curing, moisture evaporates too quickly which results in weaker concrete that can be marred with a pattern of fine cracks (known as crazing.) On the other hand, proper concrete curing creates a stronger and less permeable floor surface. V8 Rev M.V.P. provides the strength and durability without the 28-day curing time.
Designed to reduce and protect against moisture, Rev M.V.P. can be used as a standalone floor finish. It complies with all USDA requirements and VOC standards. It provides good resistance to both chemicals and UV rays. And when dry, it provides an attractive, high-gloss finish that is easy to clean. You can also apply any of our floor coatings on top of REV M.V.P.
Alternatively, if you’re planning to cover your concrete floors with carpet, tile, or hardwood, Rev M.V.P. can be used as a primer. In either case, your Xtreme Engineered Flooring System project will be completed in a matter of days rather than weeks.
