BACKGROUND: This food and beverage facility needed a non-slip floor that met USDA requirements, was easy to clean, and was durable enough to handle the requirements of an industrial setting. APPLICATION: This facility in Holland had a previous epoxy flooring application that needed to be removed before Xtreme could install a new seamless non-slip coating. Our crews used our Prep/Master diamond grinders to remove the old coating, and then our ride on shotblaster to prepare the concrete substrate for coating. Our V-8 Quartz System was then installed giving a decorative, yet textured non-slip surface. The double broadcast of quartz provides superior impact resistance, and abrasion resistance.
