BACKGROUND: Non-slip flooring is a must in certain industrial settings. When conditions are right, non-slip epoxy flooring can be the difference between injured workers and an efficient work area. Furthermore, non-slip flooring cuts down on slip and falls. For this reason, it helps keep productivity stoppages and litigation at bay.

This industrial facility hired Xtreme as their industrial flooring contractor because of our vast knowledge and experience.

NON-SLIP EPOXY APPLICATION: The most important step of any epoxy flooring application is surface preparation of the concrete. For this reason, Xtreme used our fleet of equipment to diamond grind, and shot blast this floor. This was done for the purpose of maximum penetration and adhesion of the epoxy coating.

During the installation process, our experienced crews broadcast a dust-free (airborne silica free) quartz like material into the epoxy basecoat. Furthermore, the broadcast material provides a non-slip flooring finish with a uniform appearance. Next, a pigmented V-8 epoxy topcoat was installed to give a uniform monolithic seamless finish. The epoxy topcoat is applied at a thickness that allows the floor to still have a fantastic texture and slip coefficient.

In conclusion, the non-slip flooring installed by Xtreme in this industrial facility is chemical resistant, extremely durable, and easy to clean.
