BACKGROUND: Dunes View Kwik Shop in Saugatuck Michigan is a busy store and gas station serving groceries, gas, alcohol, and more. After 40 years of several layers of VCT flooring, they were tired of the upkeep and the wax stripping and waxing. The tiles were looking tired and worn, and the appearance didn’t match their level of service and dedication to their customers.

APPLICATION: The old VCT tile was removed, and the concrete substrate was exposed for the first time in over 40 years. Our experienced crews used our fleet of diamond grinders and dust collectors to properly prepare the concrete for coating. After patching, and filling cracks and joints, our unique V-Cove was installed to provide a seamless radius that goes 4 inches up the wall. After patching, our V-8 Hybrid XT Vinyl Chip System was installed. This is an industrial strength system that is installed in 4 coats and gives double the thickness of similar epoxy floor coating systems on the market.
