Liability lawsuits can close businesses. It’s important, no matter what kind of business you own, to have liability insurance. But they also say that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Installing non-slip flooring goes a long way toward preventing liability lawsuits.
Xtreme Engineered Floor System specialists are available every day to advise and assist our clients in flooring choices. And while we don’t like to think about our clients facing litigation due to slips and falls, we know it happens. Because of that, we regularly recommend non-slip flooring whenever we recognize the possibility.
According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), slips, trips, and falls cause approximately 12,000 deaths a year. At Xtreme Engineered Floor Systems, we take this seriously. For this reason, ALL of our flooring systems can be made slip resistant.

Polished Concrete – At Xtreme Floors, we used the first concrete floor polishing system approved by the National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI). And while the shine resembles that of a slippery freshly waxed floor, it adheres to America with Disabilities Act (ADA) and OSHA non-slip standards.
V-8 Epoxy Flooring – With a thickness ranging from 12 – 60 mils, the 100% Epoxy solids coating is s a 2-coat application. The textured epoxy flooring system can provide a textured, slip resistant finish with industrial sand flint that is broadcast across the floor after the first epoxy coating is applied and while it is still wet. The amount of texture can be light or heavy, depending on your needs.
V-8 Hybrid XT Floor Coatings– Offering the greatest variety of colors and finishes, the V-8 Hybrid floor coating can be installed and back in use in just one day. In addition to meeting your non-slip flooring needs, this resin floor coating is both beautiful and easy to clean. Finishes range from double broadcast quartz to colorful vinyl chip, to all-natural mica flake, to premium platinum pigment – surfaces to compliment any décor.
